Where we work

Service areas

Local bases in Sheffield and Mansfield, with accounting support for clients across the UK. This page explains the regions we cover and how we work with directors outside those areas.

Our local bases

We are based around Sheffield and Mansfield. Each location page covers the sectors we focus on there, the services we lead with, and what local directors usually need.

Regional coverage

Alongside Sheffield and Mansfield, we work with businesses across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire, and the wider East Midlands. Typical areas include Rotherham, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Worksop, Derby, and the surrounding districts.

Nottingham has its own dedicated page because the mix of businesses there, professional quarter limited companies, independent retail, and university-adjacent rental activity, is distinctive enough to warrant its own writing.

For every other town, the work is handled in the same way as it is for our Sheffield and Mansfield clients: a written proposal, cloud records, agreed deadlines and regular contact when the work needs it.

What location changes

The core tax rules are national, but local business mix still matters. Around Sheffield we often see agencies, consultants, landlords and company directors who need management accounts, Corporation Tax planning and director pay advice. Around Mansfield and North Nottinghamshire, construction and trade clients often need CIS, Domestic Reverse Charge VAT and payroll support alongside the accounts.

For clients elsewhere in the UK, we start with the business type rather than the postcode. A contractor, landlord, online seller or growing limited company usually needs the same record keeping, filing calendar and tax review whether they are nearby or remote.

National digital support

Much of the work is handled through secure cloud accounting software. Bookkeeping, management accounts, payroll, VAT and year-end filings are all handled remotely and updated through the year. Meetings happen by video call or phone, with document exchange through an encrypted portal.

This means we can take on limited company directors, contractors, landlords, and sole traders anywhere in the UK. What matters is good records and regular conversation, not where you are based.

Starting a conversation

Start with an initial consultation. It takes around thirty minutes, followed by a proposal in writing setting out the work, the fee, and the main deadlines through the year and at year-end. How our fees work explains the pricing structure, banded by entity type and complexity rather than time on the clock.
